IGCA Canada
Ellen C. Wells
My boss Chris Beytes is a big fan and regular participant of the International Garden Center Association’s (IGCA) annual tour and congress. If you’re a leading retail garden center in Australia or Austria, Japan or Germany—or even in the good ol’ USA—your garden center association belong to the IGCA. Members get together once a year for a weeklong tour of garden centers somewhere on the globe. Chris says it’s great fun, and you get to rub elbows and compare notes with the best garden center owners, managers and consultants in the business.
Turns out the 2017 Congress is just north of the border in Canada’s Niagara region and is happening September 17-22. What a spectacular way to spend an early fall week! There are still a few slots open for IGCA Canada. If you’re interested (and how can you not be?), get the details about how to attend at
www.igcacanada2017.ca.
If you can’t make Canada, the IGCA has lined up the Czech Republic for 2018! I have friends who travel there frequently—I’m told it’s a beautiful corner of the world.
