American Express, creator of Small Business Saturday, upped the ante this year, offering services to help small businesses promote themselves the day after Black Friday. The company is creating digital content and customizable marketing materials to help small businesses drive traffic to their stores. The free, downloadable marketing materials include event flyers and posters, save-the-date cards, website badges, Facebook and Twitter cover photos, and other social media assets.
ShopSmall.com also includes a new, multimedia content hub that features how-to guides, as well as tips from fellow small business owners. In October, American Express hosted three Small Business Saturday boot camps, which focused on ways small business owners can excite customers and promote their businesses throughout the holiday season.
