Container Series: Summer Fun
Laura LeBoutillier
I love putting together containers for spring and late summer/fall because I can pack them full of gorgeous things and not worry about them overcrowding. The container is the start of the inspiration, and then mixing colors and texture of plants to either compliment or contrast it follows. In this combo, I love the way the seed heads of the grass, the many colors of the coleus, the pop of the peppers and the Superbells Calibrachoa all marry well, complementing one another while still standing on their own. Containers are a great way to get both the beginner and the more seasoned gardener excited and inspired!

PLANTING TIPS:
The Karley Rose Pennisetum are perennials and can be planted out in the landscape after using in the container. The Diamond Frost Euphorbia and Royal Glissade Coleus are excellent houseplants and can be repotted and brought inside for winter.
