Loyalty by Phone
Ann-Marie Vazzano
Most consumers carry two to four loyalty cards with them at any given time, according to mobile marketing company Vibes’ 2016 Mobile Consumer survey, but the majority of them would rather not carry them at all. According to the survey, 73% of smartphone users are interested in saving loyalty cards in their smartphones rather than carrying the actual cards. The majority (66%) of consumers would view a loyalty program in a more positive light if it were smartphone accessible. In addition, 62% would be more likely to have a positive opinion of the retailer offering the phone-accessible loyalty program, while only 6% said it would diminish or weaken their opinion of the retailer.
