Privacy Not Such a Big Concern

Ann-Marie Vazzano
Consumers are less worried about data privacy than they were a year ago, according to a recent survey from data-driven marketing and loyalty analytics company Aimia Inc. In 2014, 48% of consumers were worried about their personal data privacy, compared to just 42% this year. In fact, younger consumers haven’t been deterred at all from sharing personal information with brands. In the U.S., 62% of Generation Z and Millennials say they’re happy to share personal information with companies, compared to 41% of Boomers. More than half (51%) of 18 to 34 year olds are willing to share their cell phone number, compared to just 30% of Boomers. GP
